Cook Meadow Trail Project
Cooks Meadow work project was a success!
A total of 35 people showed up to work yesterday - CAMBA, NWTA (PUMP), Dog River Cycles, Mt Hood Ski Bowl, Bend Oregon Outdoor School and our local Mt Bike Ranger Crew just to name a few.
You created and improved public access. You designed, laid-out, cleared and grubbed in trail, cut logs and had countless hours working on the alignment for the Cooks Meadow Trail. We'll have another work day on Cooks Meadow and I will keep you all in the loop.
You all did great and I'm excited to hear that there's a continued interest for working on the Barlow Ranger District's Trail system.
I look forward to next season's National Trails Day in June. Thanks for all the support and to the sponsors today. (New York City Sub Shop, US Forest Service Barlow Ranger District and DaKine).
Thanks,
Ranger Jim
