Type: Out & Back or Loop
Length: 125.8 miles (23.7 loop with FS 17)
Time: 3 to 5 hours Aerobic: Strenuous
Technical: Intermediate/Advanced
Season: Late spring through late fall.
Land Status: MHNF/Hood River Ranger District, Hood River County

Trail Steward: No steward

Trailhead: From Hood River, go 31 miles south on hwy. 35 to forest road 44 on the left. Ascend up road 44 for 3.5 miles to the Surveyor's Ridge trailhead on the left. (45 minutes)

Trail is cleared and in great shape. Have fun!

Highlights: Do this ride as either an out and back along Tr.688 or ride out Tr.688 and back on forest service road 17. Incredible rolling singletrack and views. The trail contours along the edge of a steep ridge for most of its length. Note: Pay close attention to the map and landmarks along the way as many roads and trails intersect the Surveyor's Ridge trail. Use caution if riding on FS 17 as traffic can move fast.
